Cnooc Pretax Profit Rises 6.5% in First Half
China National Offshore Oil Corp.?s pretax profit in the first half was 25.7 billion yuan (US$3.4 billion), up 6.5% from the same period last year, a company executive said. The firm, known as Cnooc Group, produced 15.52 million metric tons of crude oil in the first half, equivalent to 628,517 barrels a day, said the executive, who declined to be named.
