Bookshelf
It is a while since I did an updated my “bookshelf” post, so here is a note on the recent additions to my recommended reads.
Bookshelf
• China CEO: A Case Study Guide for Business Leaders in China, Juan Antonio Fernandez & Shengjun Liu
Following on from the excellent “China CEO”, this new book is structured around case study examples from the likes of Eli Lilly, Peugeot, Carrefour and others.
• Asian Godfathers: Money and Power in Hong Kong and South-East Asia, Joe Studwell
The author of China Dream (has anyone not read that one yet?) has just published what looks like a very interesting analysis of the big Asian (mainly ethnic Chinese) tycoons.
• China The Art of Law: Chronicling deals, disasters, greed, stupidity and occasional success in the new China, Mark E. Schaub
The sub-title pretty much says it all. This is an entertaining and useful guide to legal issues in China from a foreign lawyer at a major Chinese firm.
Cybershelf
