Baosteel Pretax Profit More Than Doubles
Shanghai Baosteel Group Corp., China?s largest steelmaker by output, recorded a first-half pretax profit of 22.02 billion yuan ($2.91 billion), more than double the year-earlier amount, an official at Baosteel said. The official, who declined to be named, also said Baosteel?s revenue was 107.5 billion yuan, up 26% from the same period last year.
